The Children’s Garden Center is proud of its staff of professional, nurturing and creative individuals.
Vikki Oshins has been the head teacher for our terrific Two’s for over 5 years. Her assistant, Margaret Machi , has been here over 9 years.
Karen Mesberg has been teaching Nursery School for over 20 years and has been at the CGC for 4 years. She leads our thrilling Three’s along with Marlyn Mendes and Michele Glick. Marlyn has been with the nursery school for over ten years—as a teacher, and as an administrative assistant and office manager. Michele was a parent in our nursery school for 8 years, substituted for 3 years, and is now here on a permanent basis in the 3’s.
Kathy Meladossi is in her 12th year of teaching our fabulous 4’s and heading our Lunch and Afternoon Enrichment programs. Her assistant, Carol Reynolds, has been here more than 6 years.
Cantor Miranda Kark Beckenstein, our director, known as Cantor Mandi, has been involved in education both here and in her native South Africa. She is a graduate of Hebrew Union College School of Sacred Music, NY and an invested cantor. She has been Education Director of Religious Schools in temples in New Jersey and Connecticut, as well as Nursery Schools in Connecticut and at Temple Beth Abraham's Children's Garden Center, New York.
